Break the silence
All around us
Make the time to free yourself
Make your promise
Once was honest
Shattered bones can break no more
Armed and free
I bled the tree
All over me
I gave you faith no more
I cut it off
I made the mark
Now hear my engines roar
Suck my honour
Out from under
As I begin to take control
Make your promise
Once was honest
Shattered bones can break no more
Armed and free
I bled the tree
All over me
I gave you faith no more
I cut it off
I made the mark
Now hear my engines roar
I'm gonna run, I'm gonna run right out of here
I'm gonna run, the enemy is drawing near

Good sound for a road trip !!! The stoner rock atmosphere as relaxed as driving on the open road while the wind blows your head clear through the car window. Stephan

Another killer album by a band that I am late to discover.
While their debut LP was a celebration of all things 70s hard blues rock, this is a serious departure into the progressive side of things. No noodling about, however. It reminds me most of a genre I may or may not have coined called ‘College Rock’, the typical elements of which being technical proficiency, the inspiration of youth, killer songwriting, and a positive attitude.
This band definitely doesn’t want to be pigeonho Lute FP

Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
